David C. Pulver, MD
CEO and Founder

Since founding IMA in 1990, Dr. Pulver has overseen the growth of the company from a single office in White Plains, NY to a national network across the country. Dr. Pulver is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Board of Addiction Medicine and has served as Clinical Assistant Professor of Medicine at New York Medical College.  He received his M.D. degree from New York Medical College in 1975.

Mark I. Weinberger, PhD, MPH
President

Dr. Weinberger heads the company’s day-to-day operations and current expansion initiatives. Since joining the Company in 2011, and under his leadership, IMA has experienced significant expansion in geography and service offering. Dr. Weinberger received his MS and PhD degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and his MPH in epidemiology from New York Medical College. In 2018, Dr. Weinberger completed a Graduate Professional Certificate in Principles of Finance from Harvard’s Extension School. He serves as Clinical Instructor of Psychology in Psychiatry at Weill Cornell Medical College.

Victor Cohen
Chief Financial Officer

With extensive experience as a CFO of private equity backed healthcare and healthcare service businesses, Victor has broad management, corporate development and financial expertise. Prior to his work as a CFO, Victor was a private equity investor with Vestar Capital and Capital Z. Earlier in his career, he helped oversee mergers and acquisitions at Assurant and worked at JP Morgan. Victor earned a B.S. from Lehigh University and an MBA from NYU’s Stern School of Business.  Joining IMA in 2019, he currently manages all financial operations.

Doug Markham
Chief Strategy Officer

Bringing a comprehensive range of experience in healthcare, insurance and managed care services, Doug joined IMA in 2019. Prior to joining the company, he held executive leadership positions in sales, operations and finance exceeding 25 years of experience with York Risk Services, CareWorks Managed Care Services, and Concentra. Doug’s role is responsible for setting strategic and tactical direction as well as improving key business processes. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mathematics from Vanderbilt University.

Lisa A. Letarte, JD, SPHR, SHRM-SCP
Chief Compliance Officer and Vice President, Human Resources

Lisa joined IMA in 2019 and comes to IMA with over 25 years of experience in human resources and extensive experience in compliance, employment law and mergers and acquisitions. In her HR role, Lisa oversees employee benefits, payroll, employee relations and talent acquisition for all IMA affiliates. Lisa attended the United States Military Academy at West Point and Seattle University School of Law. As Chief Compliance officer, Lisa is responsible for the IMA Corporate Compliance program.

Jelena Kunovac, MD, MS
Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Kunovac has more than 25 years of experience in the clinical research industry. She has founded three research centers and conducted more than 450 clinical trials. Board certified in Psychiatry, she completed her residency training at the University of California, San Diego after having earned her master’s degree in Biological Psychiatry and an M.D. from the University of Belgrade School of Medicine, where she graduated as the valedictorian of her class. In addition, Dr. Kunovac is an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.  She joined IMA in 2019.

Michael Koenig
Chief Technology Officer

Michael joined IMA in 2010. Michael has over 20 years of software and system development experience. Michael has experience mentoring and building software departments for several industries, including Healthcare, Automotive, Environmental, Networking, Pharmaceutical and Financial. He received his Bachelor of Science in Mathematics in 1985 from SUNY Oneonta and completed a one-year degree in computer science at Hofstra University. His responsibilities include overseeing IMA’s entire IT proprietary platform and initiatives. 

Tim Weaver
Senior Vice President, Government Services

Tim joined IMA in 2019. Prior to joining IMA, Tim served as Regional Vice President of Operations at Fresenius Medical Care North America, a healthcare company focused on people with renal and other chronic conditions. He oversees the operation of IMA’s 80+ medical offices as well our operations center in Albany. Tim earned a bachelor’s degree from Eastern Michigan University and an MBA from Thunderbird School of Global Management.

Barbara Young
Vice President, Business Development

Barbara joined IMA in 1998. She is the former Medical Relations Coordinator for the New York State Division of Disability Determinations, where she served as a Medical Relations Officer, Contract Manager, and Coordinator of Medical Relations Activities on a statewide basis. She attended SUNY Albany graduating with a bachelor’s degree in psychology and a graduate degree in public administration. Her role at the IMA Group is to lead our business development and marketing efforts aimed at expanding our service offering and geography.

Jeanine M. Zimmerman
Vice President, Finance

Jeanine joined IMA in 2007. She has over 20 years of extensive experience as a Controller and CFO. Prior to joining IMA, she managed the accounting/ finance departments and operations of a foreign-based corporation. In her role, she is currently responsible for the financial and business decisions of the company.
